Case Study
RTA Dubai Metro — Violation Management Platform (0 to 1)
Government platform delivered from proposal to go-live
Problem
Dubai’s metro and tram systems required a scalable way to monitor and manage passenger violations, as manual inspection processes were fragmented and inefficient. There was limited real-time visibility into inspection activities, making it difficult to enforce compliance consistently across high-traffic stations.
Solution
Built a digital violation management platform that:
- enables real-time monitoring of inspection activities
- detects violations and tracks repeat offenders
- supports data-driven deployment of inspectors based on high-risk areas
- centralizes workflows for detection, validation, and enforcement
The platform digitized inspection operations and enabled real-time monitoring and analytics for better enforcement.
Role (Product Manager)
- Authored the technical proposal, contributing to winning the project
- Contributed across the lifecycle from proposal to go-live
- Defined workflows aligned with real-world inspection operations
- Worked with stakeholders and engineering to deliver the system
Impact
The platform significantly improved inspection efficiency and compliance by enabling real-time monitoring and smarter deployment of inspection teams. It also led to measurable improvements in operations, including an increase in inspection rates and better detection of violations across metro and tram networks.
